1. Pork chops & Baked Potato

How can you make pork chops without a baked potato? It is a classic combination. I’m not even sure if it’s possible to cook pork chops without this veggie. Just like any other classic ingredients, this one looks simple, but in fact, it can make your cooking look polished and elegant. Baked potatoes are a very popular vegetable with pork chops that you can’t miss.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops.
  • 2 Baked Potatoes.
  • 1 Onion.
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil.
  • Add salt and pepper as needed.

Set the oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Wash, peel, and mince the onion. Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes in half. An oil-based cooking pan should be greased. Add in the chopped onions and mix them well with salt and pepper. Put in the potatoes evenly spaced on top of the onions and then put in the pork chops on top of those potatoes. Cook for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately when it’s done with a side vegetable like broccoli or carrots.

Serve on its own with a side of rice or salad. Mushrooms

I was thinking about adding mushrooms, but thought it was a little boring. So I did a little research and found out that there are really many different ways to cook mushrooms, such as frying, baking, or even grilling. Not only that but there are many more vegetable pairings you can mix in with this veggie. If you want to experiment more in the future, then all you have to do is change your spices and ingredients up!

Broccoli is a very popular vegetable with pork chops today. I know what you’re thinking: if there are so many vegetable pairings that go well with this veggie, why not add some broccoli? Well, I’m here to tell you that broccoli is a great vegetable when it goes with pork chops. In fact, it helps balance out the meat flavors.

Ingredients

4 Pork Chops Broccoli Dijon Mustard Garlic Salt and Pepper to taste Directions Wash the broccoli and cut off the tough ends of it. I usually cut off the broccoli in half and separate the two halves. Make sure to cut them into small florets. Mix together dill mustard, garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Pour this sauce on top of the broccoli and place the pork chops on top of it. Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.

6. Pork chops & Toasted Garlic

It’s another classic pairing with pork chops that I don’t think can be done without it. The secret behind toasting garlic is all in how you heat it up with your broiler or by roasting it in an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops.
  • 2 Baked Potatoes.
  • 1/2 cup toasted Garlic.
  • 1 tsp dried Basil.

1 Tbsp Olive Oil (optional) Directions Heat up your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray some oil on a roasting pan. Put in all of your chopped garlic and mix them well with olive oil. Once it’s mixed, place the baking pan under the broiler (see how I did this step here).

When it’s done, take out the roasting pan from the broiler and put in a splash of dried basil. Add your potatoes to the middle of the pan and put in your pork chops on top of those potatoes. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until it’s golden brown. Remember to enjoy this vegetable with pork chops right away.

7. Pork chops & Mashed Cauliflower

Mashed cauliflower is a very good vegetable with pork chops. I don’t know about you, but I’m always excited when cauliflower gets added to my dinner menu. It’s just like adding another vegetable to my meat dish, but the flavor is so different from other vegetables. Mashed cauliflower with pork chops makes a great meal because they both have a creamy texture that can be used to dip bread slices into. If you don’t like eating bread with your meal, then you can always add mashed cauliflower to pasta or rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops.
  • 1/2 Cauliflower.

Salt Pepper Nutmeg Olive Oil Directions Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray some oil on a baking pan. Chop the cauliflower into small florets and add to a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and mash it up with a potato masher. Once it’s mashed up, place your pork chops on top of the mashed cauliflower and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pork chops are golden brown.

8. Pork chops & Zucchini Noodles

Zucchini noodles are the best choice for your vegetable with pork chops. This is one of my favorite veggie pairings because I’m just not very used to eating them as zucchini noodles. Since zucchini is a vegetable that’s very versatile, you can really make almost any recipe into zucchini noodles. To make the zucchini noodles, all you have to do is trim the ends off of that veggie and then spiralize it onto a cutting board with a spiralizer. If you don’t have a spiralizer at home, then I think you can easily find bags of Zoodles in your local grocery stores.

Ingredients

4 Pork Chops Black Pepper Olive Oil White Onion Directions Put black pepper on each of your pork chops and add some olive oil to your pan. In my case, I used a cast iron pan and turned it on medium heat for 5 minutes or so. Add in 8oz of zucchini noodles to the pan and stir it around until it’s fully cooked. Add a dash of salt for your zucchini noodles. Once they’re ready, place them on top of each pork chop and garnish with some chopped white onion.

9. Pork chops & Rice and Pigeon Pea Pelau

Rice and Pigeon Pea Pelau is a delicious and nutritious vegetable with pork ribs. Now, this is what I call a regular recipe for a great meal. There are so many ways to prepare this dish. You could make it with chicken instead of pork chops, or you could use tofu instead of pigeon peas. In fact, if you’re vegetarian, then you can always substitute the beef stock that’s used in this recipe with vegan “beef” stock.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops.
  • 2 Large Green Peas.

Salt Pepper Olive Oil Onion Ginger Garlic Turmeric Curry Powder to taste Directions Wash the rice and boil it in a pot until it’s fully cooked. Add some salt as well as pepper to taste and mix in your olive oil with curry powder and mix thoroughly. Peel your ginger and garlic cloves and chop them up. Add a dash of salt and boil them in a pot for 5 minutes or so. Add your green pea shells to the pan and add some beef stock to that mix. During the next 2 minutes, boil the water again. Place the pork chops on top of the rice pelau, add the green pea shells on top of that and finally, add chopped ginger and garlic on top of that. It wouldn’t be complete without some lemon juice!
